imeem.com gives bands everything they can get from a myspace page, but they also pay artists a share of the advertising revenue their music generates. (on myspace the ad revenue goes to myspace, and then onto Rupert Murdoch's NewsCorp). There are a lot of other reasons why imeem beats myspace, but that's the big one.
